Introduction
One of the most asked, researched and yet still unanswered (unproven) questions, is the beginning of life, the beginning of the universe as we know it. How is it possible to answer this as none of us were here at 'the beginning? For this reason many scientific theories have developed and also so have religions. The Big Bang Theory and 'sub-theories' The Big Bang A well known theory on the beginning of the universe is 'The Big Bang Theory'. A generalisation of this theory can be described as this: A big BANG implies a massive explosion, in this context it is space itself which explodes. It was at this instant that because of the infinite density and incredible heat that was produced, all forms of energy and matter were formed as well as space and time. The nature of this theory makes it impossible to ask what was before the big bang and what caused it. This aspect is attempted to be explained by various cosmological theories.
